Genesis
At age 12, Amy won first prize in a county-wide speech contest. She performed in big theaters, and MC’d many educational and corporate functions. This gave her a lot of confidence and made her believe she can accomplish anything in life. In 2007, she climbed Mt. Whitney; in 2011, she ran a marathon; in 2012, she fought cancer in the prime of her life; in 2013, she conquered cancer.
During recovery, she found solace in her childhood passion for music, dance, and the arts. This ultimately inspired her to invent Dance4Healing, an award-winning, NIH-funded, patent-pending "tele-dance" platform that pairs people with chronic diseases, older adults, and their caregivers, with compatible buddies to build lasting healthy habits through tailor-made recorded and live video creative arts classes. Amy also founded Stage IV {Wicked Wisdom} Multi-Media Platform, which includes her upcoming book, a web magazine, and an "Experts Voice" interview series.
As a Chinese American who is fluent both in English and Chinese, Amy is passionate about bridging the Eastern and Western technology and science communities. She is working on assisting both Humanity+ and Singularity University in expanding to Asia, by utilizing her bilingual skills and understanding of both cultures, creating interesting collaborations between Western and Chinese scientists and technologists.
